====== Jes Preferred Brownies ====== I want them chewy, okay? Not fudgy, not cakey, not extra rich or whatever else and not full of chocolate chip interruptions. These need a little tweaking to be exactly right but they're by far the closest yet. And the recipe is dead simple! Like half an hour total. That's cool. Thanks [[https://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/quick-and-easy-fudge-brownies-recipe|King Arthur]]. For brownie bites: 15min in a dark mini muffin tin ===== Ingredients ===== * 1 c (120g) AP flour * 3/4 c (64g) cocoa, dutch or regular * 1 3/4 c (347g) sugar * 1/2 t salt * 1/4 t baking powder * 1 t espresso powder, optional * 3 large eggs * 8 T (113g) unsalted butter, melted * 1/4 c (50g) vegetable oil * 2 t vanilla ===== Directions ===== - Preheat oven to 375F and lightly grease a 13x9. Not an 8x8 or 9x9 for thicker brownies because then they'd be less perfectly chewy. - Put everything in a bowl in the order listed and beat until smooth. - Dump the batter in the pan and bake for about 25 minutes, until just beginning to pull away at the edges and a toothpick comes out clean or just crumby, not wet. - Cool completely before cutting??? originally submitted by jes_p on Jul 16, 2020 {{tag>jes_p}}
