====== Sous Vide Pork Belly ====== So, I went to the asian market for sake and the pork belly looked good I had to buy it. Then I needed a recipe and found this one on izzycooking.com. Followed it exactly, it was amazing, 10/10 will do again. And, it's very little work. I served it over white rice and with steamed broccoli. ===== Ingredients ===== * 2 lb pork belly * 1/4 cup honey * 4 cloves garlic minced * 3 tablespoons soy sauce * 1 tablespoon vegetable oil * 1 tablespoon sesame seeds * 2 green onions chopped * salt to taste ===== Directions ===== - On the night before, mix the honey, garlic and soy. Vacuum bag the pork bellies with the sauce and leave it in the fridge. - put the pork bellies in the sous vide machine in the morning - 170 F for about 10 hours - pull the pork bellies out, leave the juices in the bag, pat the pork bellies dry with paper towels. Cut the pork bellies into cubes. - put the vegetable oil in a frying pan and get it good and hot, then put the pork belly cubes in the oil, skin side down. - once the skin is caramelized, turn them and pour about 1/4 cup of the juices into the pan. Keep turning the pork bellies to brown/caramelize all sides while reducing the sauce. - put the pork bellies in a serving dish and sprinkle with the green onions and sesame seeds originally submitted by mike on Jan 27, 2023 {{tag>mike}}
