Strawberry Cake

It's cake with strawberries in it, not just on it. Odd at times but remarkably easy as cake goes. I knew it was going well when the final batter tasted like it could have been a box mix. From allrecipes but I replaced the suggested lemon frosting with better Lemon Buttercream Frosting and then some chocolate glaze and more strawberries.

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 9×13 or equivalent volume (like 2 9“ rounds, close enough)
  2. Cream together butter and sugar for at least a minute.
  3. Add the eggs and beat for another minute then stir in vanilla and salt.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream and baking soda to make weird slightly aerated sour cream. Add it and the flour to the egg mixture and beat well.
  5. Stir in the strawberry mash/puree.
  6. Pour batter into pan(s) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
